Hi all, SO glad to find this support group.
I’m a 30 year-old girl trying to get pregnant.
My sister (who’s older than me) had several miscarriages till checking Hypercoagulable tests and been found Factor V Leiden positive (Heterozygoous). She has been treated since this discovery with Clexane blood thinners for all the pregnancy months till after giving birth.
After knowing that, my mother and me took this blood test and been both found positive (I’m a homozygous Factor V Leiden).
Now, trying to conceive I hear different opinions around regarding Clexane and other blood thinners: should I “try” to get pregnant and take the risk of miscarriage while knowing my condition and the history of my sister while thinking of the other Factor V Leiden history in the family – my mother – who had never had a natural miscarriage and no need of taking Clexane and has 3 children.
Or, should I not take this risk and take Clexane from the ovulation date till after giving birth.
It’s a big question.
Thanks,
Linda
