I know a few women who unfortunately encountered the same problem. All of their were fine with no side effects or problems with labor, delivery or baby. They still come in for regular screenings and all of them and their kids are just fine.
I suffer from migraines w/o being pregnant and w my current pregnancy (#3 @ 33 w a 15 y/o & 12 y/o) they have intensified by 1000% and they tried the T3's but they don't help migraines. So they changed my migraine meds to Fiorcet. I also have Kidney Hydronephroses (for the 3rd time), which Fiorcet doesnt treat, so they put me on Norco bc you cannot take antiinflammatories while pregnant. I had the same fears but with my son 12 years ago my Dr actually made me take the hydrocodone because I kept ending up in the hospital with SEVER pain that kept causing preterm labor. Even while breastfeeding it scared me cause he would go to sleep before even switching breasts to get full. After talking to my Dr and a high risk specialist they both assured me the baby gets less than 20% of all the medication you ingest. They will not give you something that will harm you or the baby!!! Trust your Dr's not what you read on the internet.
Ok thank you ladies. I was getting worried.
I looked it up for you. Yours is Category B you're fine it won't harm the baby.
I'm sure the antibiotics are fine. I was prescribed Amoxicillin for one of my wisdom teeth I had extrated yesterday which is Category B medication. I'm not taking the Category C which is Tylenol with Codeine which doesn't do harm but is advise just to stay away from. Category B has no harm to the baby I'm assuming your medication should be just fine. Being a nurse I had to look up these things. Look up what category the medication is and do research on what the categories mean.
If your Dr prescribed the medicine it means it's worth it over whatever risks there could be. You should talk over your concerns with your Dr and take your medication!
