First pregnancy

I am a little over 5 weeks pregnant and worried about EVERYTHING...  My breast have been very sore and I've been cramping everyday since my missed period. When does the cramping stop? I've also been nauseous but no vomiting. My first doctor  appointment isn't until the end of September. Any advice on what to do and not to do beside the usual (prenatal vitamins,  no drinking,  lots of rest & fluid,  etc.)?

This was the best advice given to me a few days ago.... "Enjoy your pregnancy" even if you are not in the best relationship, situation or whatever,  just enjoy it! Try to relax!

I'm 6 weeks along and I'm trying not to stress but its hard. I've had this dull pain on my left side and hip for a few days, but I've heard it's just your body starting to prepare and stretch.

I am so happy I've just seen this. I'm only 4 weeks, in a constant state of panic. I have cramps, convinced there's something wrong, pelvic pain, it's ectopic, boobs less tender, it's a miscarriage. If I feel less nauseous, I'm not pregnant anymore!
I am catastrophising ALL THE TIME and as a cognitive Psychotherapist I should know better!
Only 8 months to go eh!

Hey! I definitely understand how you feel!  I'm 6 weeks and 3 days. My fourth and fifth week I done nothing but cramp. I wasn't nauseous.  Needless to say the cramping has stopped but im laying down now bc im so nauseous,  breast are sore n I just feel sooooooo sick. Lol but it will get better. :) crackers n drinking plenty of water will help. The book what to expect when expecting is really good!

Look up foods to avoid during pregnancy, don't get in the hot tub it raises your body temperature. Dr should tell you a lot of things like that. Reading other peoples posts on here kinda give you and idea what to expect. First trimester is usually nauseated, tired, and nothing sounds appetizing but you don't actually have to gain weight. Don't worry if you don't have morning sickness but tired is very normal. Second trimester says it all gets better but for me it was better over time. Cramping is normal but bleeding is something you should ask a doctor if it happens.

I was (and still am) worried about everything also. I'm 21 weeks now with my first baby, so everything is new. I 100% agree with Emilee99. The cramps are normal, as long as they aren't severe and as long as you have no bleeding. They probably won't last a whole lot longer. My morning sickness really kicked in at about 6-7 weeks. And yes, the what to expect book is great. And fun to read about what's going on with baby :) Congrats!

The cramps will ease up soon. My full blown morning sickness started at 6 weeks. Right now you don't need to do much. You can stock up on ginger candies, crackers and other things you think may help when nauseated. The What to Expect when expecting book is a good one to get if you like to read. It has a week lek by week calender and helpful.tips and answers. I thought it helped me a lot. Congratulations!
