Fit pregnancy / Fit mommy

I'm 22 weeks pregnant n up to now still keeping up with my pre pregnancy   workout programs (cardio & weight training) although I have modified some exercises.. was hoping other fit mom's would share with me different exercises they have modified due to pregnancy? Since laying on your back is not recommended or even abs worksout.. Thank you

I talked abt weight lifting trying with my doc when I was 6 weeks pregnant and he advise that if I was already training I should be fine to continue throughout my pregnancy unless there is something medically wrong that will make this a high risk pregnancy. So far I haven't had any type of pain or injuries. I actually feel way better actuate r I lift. Helps me with indigestion and most aches &pains.so I'll just continue with caution.

I had to stop weight lifting as a) couldn't lay on my back without passing out and b) my midwife strongly advised against it as you can easily pull something with the relaxine in your body. She also said you could easily get a hernia doing that so I didn't bench press at all. I am sure others have with till success and please let me know if you do.

Thanks but was looking for weight lifting more. Running I run 3 miles every other day nonstop without any problems. Last pregnancy I ran til I was 8 months n then did bike. I'm gonna do the same for this one. Was looking for advice on weight lifting. I did lower my weight 5 lbs n doing fine with squats n lunges with weights but like benching is lying on your back. I tried it on an incline with 50 lbs weights but I'm scared of when getting up the bench hitting my stomach. So I want to see if anyone has advice on how to bench? When I have no spotter

I do different kinds of cardio, never been a runner, but things like elliptical, step mill, and walking hills on the treadmill. I do basic body exercises: squats, push ups, planks etc. I've been practicing yoga for years so I still do regular hot yoga classes but some poses I've started to modify now (nothing on my stomach, etc)

Congrats on keeping it up :-) I have done exercise with both my previous pregnancies. I ran till I was 14 weeks with my son but only stopped as my bump was in the way. Then I walked and did stepping exercises. With my daughter I ran till I was 30 weeks as I aquired a bump belt for support. I carried om with abdominal workout doing the plank and a hula hoop. My midwife said that was fine. I also took up pregnancy yoga. I have altered as I've gone along...If I'm tired I'd stop and take a break. I am 8 weeks at the moment with my 3rd and have struggled a bit more this time to keep up but only as I've been exhausted with my two others keeping me running about. But I do enough that I know I benefit and the baby benefit.
