Fluid in kidneys?

I'm 23 weeks and was told my baby had a small amount of fluid in both kidneys. Dr. Said not to worry too much but I go to a fetal maternal specialist Friday for another ultrasound.  Scared and worried is an understatement. Anyone else have experience in this area?

I got the same news a while back. My dr referred me for the level 2 u/s and the fluid was still there although it had not imcreased. The follow up dr was not worried at all. He said this is common especially in boys and usually goes away on its own. They are going to check again at 32 weeks (I'm 25 weeks today. ) Don't worry.  I cried until I couldn't cry anymore and so far everything is just fine :-) Alot of worry over nothing.

I was told the same thing and go for my follow up next week. My doctor said if he could pick one thing to go wrong it would be this. There is nothing that can be done right now, and it usually resolves itself before birth. If it doesn't usually your child will just be monitored every few months and put on antibiotics to avoid UTIs. From what I've read it usually resolves itself. Dr said he has seen 3 cases thus year before mine and all resolved themselves by the third trimester.
