Flying at 32/33 weeks

So i live in TX, I'm about to be 21 and I booked a flight to go to FL for my baby shower on May 1st. I'll be flying back here on the 4th. The flight is about 3 hours, if that. I'll be exactly 33 weeks on the day of my baby shower, I have had no complications in this pregnancy, the baby is very healthy. I'm just super nervous about flying. This is my 1st pregnancy and idk I think I may be over thinking and worrying about what could possibly go wrong. I just got a new doctor because I only moved here to Texas about a month ago, so I met him for the 1st time this past Wednesday. He checked me out and everything is fine. But when I told my doctor I already booked my flight he said it usually isn't ideal to be flying beyond 30 weeks because it can cause blood clots and pre term labor... Then he said, "but if your going to fly anyway, we're gonna need to get you on some medicine that will help you." ...he is also my 1st male doctor.. As a 1st impression of him, he seems to be very quick about things, do it by the book type of guy, and not interested in me personally or making me feel comfortable.. Which makes me a bit stand-offish. But he seems to be a good doctor other than that. So the question is, should I be worried about flying this far along??? God forbid I gave birth on the plane.. Or while I'm in FL.

Here's some information about travel during pregnancy from MedHelp.org and the I'm Expecting app. Look for it in Week 13:

If you can avoid traveling, do it; however, I had to fly late in my pregnancy, from Texas to Florida when carrying my first.  What I did was contacted a doctor in the area to let them know that I was flying in just in case something did happen.  My doctor forwarded all of my info to them.  Just be prepared with a barf bag during and after the flight. Lol...Also, pay extra to get a seat in the isle.

Check your airlines first they might not let you fly.  And listen to your Dr's advice, they always have the babies at heart first.

Stick with Doctors advice. I know it must be disappointing, not worth the risk to your baby.
