Food Aversion

Hello everyone recently found out when I went to hospital I was pregnant with twins. However I can't seem to eat. I will be hungry for the moment then take a bite and hate it don't even want to eat anymore. But I know I must eat to make sure they remain healthy any ideas on what I can do to help me eat?

Always have a snacks on hand so whenever you actually feel up to eating you have something. I always carried trail mix and crackers and gatorade helped keep me hydrated while also giving some calories. And don't be too worried...I lost 7lbs in my first trimester and at my 12 week apt the baby was perfectly fine..right size, hb, etc.

I find cold melon helps probably because there isn't much eating in it.

Tea and toast is my other go too.

Real meals, that I've to cut and fork and chew - can't do it right now

My doc told me to eat whatever I can and not to worry that baby will get what it needs, she did say try take the vitamins though (right now I can't swallow them!!)

Are you nauseous or just don't have an appetite? If you don't have and appetite that is normal so instead just eat little snacks until you have a real appetite. Crackers, some fruit, bag of chips, a bottle of water, nuts, seeds etc. I kept a bag of dried banana chips around me. So I'd say whatever your favorite snack is keep that around to eat on and wrap it back up. I always popped a few banana chips in when I had an appetite and closed it back up.
