Has anyone found out the gender of their baby at 12-13 weeks? I'll be having a sonogram at 12w 4d and I was going to ask the Tech if she can guess the gender.

There's a blood test that can be done to determine the gender now but it's expensive and obviously insurance won't cover it

I wouldn't rely on a guess that early as the genitals are still developing at that stage. I'd wait til your anatomy scan before buying anything.

It's not a precise science when predicting that early since both male and female fetuses have a little nub around that time. It's not until 18 weeks that the male's genitalia will continue to grow out and the female's will create a more hamburger shape. The two people above both had boys so it was correct on guessing but should you have a girl they may tell you it's a boy only to find you have a girl later. There is sometimes a way to distinguish between the nubs this early but everything would have to line up perfectly for them to give you 100% answer.

Yes.. Well I was actually 10 weeks. They had done a gender test. And I'm 24 weeks now and it's still defiantly a boy! So there very accurate through the blood test(gender test) they give for usually all high risk pregnancies.
