Gestational diabetes

Being diagnosed with gestational diabetes? How did you deal with it? Did your baby have a high birth weight? Did you carry full term or be induced early? Just curious about the topic all around.

I had gestational with my first pregnancy ( managed through diet and blood sugar checks throughout the day) I went into labor on my own at 36weeks. Delivered a 7lb 8oz baby boy, he had jaundice that was cleared up within a week. I was just tested early ( yesterday at 20wks) with this pregnancy. Hoping I'll be diabetes free this time around!

I have been diagnosed with Gestational diabetes this time. I didn't have it with first pregnancy. Afyer I was diagnosed, I was suoer depressed but with thebsupport of close friends and husband I got better. Now I have controlled it with diet. I have an appointment with my midwife today, lets see what she has to say about my numbers.

I was borderline with my first pregnancy and I had to control it with diet. I was also put on almost strict bed rest so I couldn't do any exercises. My husband also worked all the time and we only had one car so I couldn't go to the specialist to get medication to control. I had a shortening in my cervix so I ended up delivering my daughter a little early. She was 7lb 5.5 oz at 37 weeks. Of I went full term she probably would have been 9 lbs or so

I had gestational diabetes with my daughter. I was able to easily control it with diet. They induced me bc they thought she was large. Estimated weight was 9lbs 11oz. They were way off. She only weighed 7lbs 9oz
