Gestational diabetes at 31 weeks. Need ideas for quiet sweet cravings

Hi,
I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 29 weeks. I have been eating very well - watching my carbs and sugar intakes. However sometimes I really want to eat some sweets ... bakery most of all! I'm looking for some recipes and great ideas that you have used to keep down cravings and keep glucose level in a normal range. I still have at least 6 or more weeks to go ...
Thanks :)

It sounds crazy but its the most delicious thing I've had in my life:

If you have a magic bullet like thing that breaks down dry food to powder...

4 Seedless Dates
1 tlbsp Flax seed
3/4 cup Raw almonds

Put all this in the "food processor" or whatever you have.

Then roll the "dough" into balls munchkin doughnut size.

Roll into powdered coconut.

I'm not kidding this stuff is heaven!  It's sweet and almost creamy amazing goodness and super duper healthy!
