Glucose Screening

I'm 31 years old, second pregnancy and was told I failed the 1 hour glucose test.  The reading was 150.  I'm very upset over this since I normally eat healthy and cannot pinpoint the cause.  The 3 hour test will take place on Monday and I'm hoping the numbers are normal.  Has anyone experienced this?  Any tips?

I passed my one hour, two hour I failed at 155, they said I had to be below 152... They didn't even want to retest me. I have to go to some lame nutrition class. Basically, I already know I need to eat how I ate before getting pregnant. Low to no carbs.... I don't need a class. I should request a retest looking at what you all have posted. I also had pasta the night before... Ugh probably the only reason I failed

Thanks all, I'm happy to report my numbers for the three hours came back normal.

I failed the one hour but passed my 3 hour. My one hour was 165. The three hour test has a higher range than the one hour.
Three hour range
Fasting- <95
1hour- <180
2 hour- <155
3 hour- <140
You will have your blood drawn 4 times. The above results are considered passing. I'm not sure why it's so much lower for the one hour. Try and not stress. I'm sure you will do fine.

Thats how i failed my second one i was suppose to fast after midnight and at like 1130 i ate a cinnamon sandwich which is just butter sugar cinnamon on bread haha. I failed by 5 points. If i didnt eat anything i wouldve passed or if i ate something with little carbs like a string cheese or something so this time im determined not to fail.

Most people fail the first one. I suggest the day before the test eat healthy low carb and dont eat before bed.

My doctor told me to just relax and try not stress over it. Sometimes things like this are out of our control, I was eating healthy and my numbers were high according to them but the 3 hours test showed everything was within normal range. Hopefully yours will too. The fasting part sucked for me, I would get hungry in the middle of the night with my daughter.

I failed the 1 hour with my first and had to take the 3 hours test. Numbers came back normal for the 3 hours test. My doctor told me it was common to fail the 1st test and have normal numbers for the second one.

My doctor didn't say much, he simply said it was 150 and the normal is 140 and under.  Then he scheduled the 3 hour test for next week.  I have to fast from midnight the night before.
