I have my 1 hour on wed. But im pretty sure i'm going to fail. I've had to track my sugars for the past week and it's been high daily no master what I eat. I'm praying it's just a bad well but i've had sugar issues before. Just know you are not alone :) hopefully it all goes well for you
I'm 25 weeks and I just did mine on Thursday. I guess I have to wait on a call because they didn't tell me anything that day. There was a lady in there doing her three hour test that day so it must be a little common to fail the first test. She also said that she only failed by two points.
GD is not a big bad evil. If you monitor you sugar intake and do as the Dr tells you then you shouldn't have any problems. Relax, what will be, will be. It's not that hard to monitor and self test everyday. I know, I'm doing it too! It's not often that moms to be will need insulin, but if you do then listen to your Dr follow their instructions and you should be fine. Stressing will get you no where and is t healthy. :)
You will be ok no matter the outcome. Gestational diabetes is rare effecting 10 to 15% of pregnancies around the world. I'm one of the few that failed and was taken very by surprise by it. I wss depressed at first and have days where it can be hard but I've found some great ways to cheat the diet a bit and it hasnt all been bad honestly. Also its common for a lot of women to fail the one hour. If you do get diagnosed know you have support and youll be ok. Add me if you want or need someone to talk to about it. Hope you pass. <3
Thank you best wishes for you tooo! I'm praying for ya!!!!
I'm 29 weeks not 39 see my heads somewhere else dwelling on the results I got tuesday
Just had mine yesterday. I failed...doing it again Tuesday. Im nervous as well...hoping it's a fluke thing...trying not to worry...good luck!
You should have had your glucose testing at 28 weeks, you are a week away from your due date there's not much they can do at this point
If you're 39w1d, it's kind of surprising they are even scheduling this test, I had mine much earlier in pregnancy than that. Or are you following up on other glucose tests you had before?
Anyway, don't worry. You're ready to deliver, and if they do think it's unreasonably high, they might well ask you do.
