Try reglan. That's what the pediatric on call at the er prescribed after I took a Percocet to try and get on top of the pain. Didn't take it away, but made it tolerable. Before that I was stuck in a dark room and couldn't leave for 4 days due to the pain and sensitivity. That was even with sunglasses on indoors.
My doctor prescribed me fiorecet as well and it does nothing for me :/
My dr gave me fiorecet. It really helps and I have an appt with a neurologist coming up.. she specializes in pregnancy related problems. This is my 5th pregnancy and I never had a single headache in any of the other ones. I do get migraines often when not pregnant though.
Unfortunately nothing really helps all you can do is try to relax with a nap or a nap in a dark room and just wait until you are pass the 30 weeks they usually stop then good luck!
Glad to know others get headaches. I only get them sometimes but I just try to lay down do nothing or go to sleep. Last night headache was so bad I feel asleep in tub. But lucky the tub small so couldn't fall in.
I didn't get many headaches in my first trimester but I'm getting them almost on a daily basis in my second trimester. they're so bad I've been throwing up and they last for days. Tylenol doesn't help at all. I'll take a zip lock bag of ice water and lay in the dark. Or I've used tiger balm but you can't use it to often. I'm desperate to find something that can help get rid of these headaches because they're debilitating.
I had them so bad at the end of my first and my whole second trimestet. They stopped at my third all i could take was tylenol but it never worked its due to the excess blood in your body. Im 32 weeks now and havent had them at all
I had them in my 1st trimester. My ob advised me to stay away from tea or coffee. Rather take too much water
Had migraines almost the entire first trimester. I never had them before. Ended up in the er even. Ask about reglan. It's an anti nausea med that has a side effect of taking care of migraines. The only thing we can take being pregnant. It didnt all go away, but made them tolerable. Good luck.
Well, hopefully it will end soon for you. I had migraines at this time in all three of my pregnancies - and then they ended in about a week.
Have you had migraines before this?
