Heartburn

I'm 6months (24weeks) and I've gone this far without throwing up until now because of heartburn. Its really bad and I need some tips on getting rid of it. I've tried tums already..please help me

You can try tums or zantac first before getting a prescription ....if you haven't tried those already. My Dr said both of those are safe. I just started to get heart burn really bad I tried tums but they didn't work too well so I switched to zantac.

I got it when I started my 3rd trimester! It's really bad.. I couldn't eat or drink anything sometimes. I am currently at 36 weeks. My doctor prescribed Ranitidine (15mg) and it works for me.. :)

Mine got bad once I hit the 3rd trimester.. I could drink water n get heartburn. Seriously no joke!!! But the Doctor gave me rantidine it works for me but sometimes I have to take a tums inbetween doses!

I was on omneprezerol before pregnancy, doctor said to only take if absolutely necessary. I read aboyt papaya during my first pregnancy and it was AMAZING! I am now 36 wks in my third pregnancy and gave been heartburn free as long as i eat a small bowl each night.

I had heartburn really bad to the point I couldn't eat or drink anything without it bothering me. I was taking rantidine OTC but it wasn't working I told my Dr. and he gave me omperazole 40mg and it has worked wonders I can finally eat anything I want. Tell your dr see what they can prescribe
