3rd Time's a Charm

I've had two miscarriages in the past (back to back!!), so it was difficult for my husband and I to believe this new pregnancy would actually stick. However, last night we had our first ultrasound and the tech was able to find the baby and a heartbeat! According to all of the calculators I've used, I should be right around 7 weeks 5 days. Baby measured 6 weeks 5 days, with a heartbeat of 126. I do have some pretty long cycles. In fact the one right before the pregnancy was 34 days. I'm hoping that has something to do with the measurement. Of course I'm waiting to hear from my doctor, but I thought I'd reach out to this community and see if anyone has had similar ultrasounds! Any advice would he helpful!!! :)

Thank you for the advice! I haven't heard from my doctor yet, but I plan to ask her about the aspirin. I've read that multiple times! Hopefully she calls tomorrow.

I had two miscarriages back to back.  Decided to take baby aspirin daily to help.  Got pregnant and had a healthy baby. Still taking aspirin, and in my 30 week of 4th pregnancy. Sometimes we need a little help.  My problem was undiagnosed, so I think I have a blood clotting issue.  They wont run tests unless you miscarry 3 times here.  How much pain does one have to go through to find the answers?  So I took a shot in the dark.  Good luck, if anything, try baby aspirin.

First congratulations to both of you. I also had a miscarriage before this pregnancy after finding out that I need meds to get pregnante.  I have 33-34 days cycle went taking medication to conceive and that mean that most calculator will be wrong about numbers of weeks of pregnancy because usually ovulation occurs later in a longer cycle. I can really relate to you because we also had an early ultrasound for reassurance at the begins of this pregnancy and saw a heartbeat! I'm now 37 weeks! Good luck to you and enjoy your pregnancy!
