High risk pregnancy, what to expect?

I had a drs appointment yesterday. She discussed with me that this is a high risk pregnancy for baby with risk of preterm labor: my first was born 2 months early and had to stay in the NICU for a long time. She stated next appointment I will be meeting with a specialist to discuss injections to help baby make it to term: progesterone and steroids.
Has anyone been through this? What should I expect? I am worried for baby. Going through a PTL the first time was torture, I just want baby to be ok:(

Hi ladys I got my first shot Monday and will get them every week until Im 28 weeks my first baby came at 25 weeks hoping these shots can take me much futher and I pray the same for you .

Ok so judging by what they told me on the phone that's what I will be doing. They are going to tell me more next Wednesday at the appt. Ugh I hate needles but I will do what I have to too keep this baby safe

my first pregnancy ended with early labor at 20 weeks. second pregnancy I did shots from 16-35 weeks had natural labor at 39 weeks. now 3rd pregnancy we did the shots the same, and now I'm 38 and5.

Were they weekly shots? My first came at 33 weeks

I have to take progesterone at the start of every pregnancy to make it to term. Just try to take everything a day at a time. Is there a chance you may have an incompetent cervix? I have read that that can cause preterm births. I am wishing you a healthy and happy nine months!
