Hubbys that work long hours too??

I am grateful my husband has a good job but sometimes it puts a toll on me. I feel like a single parent most of the time. Don't get me wrong. . I love my kids but being pregnant and having 4 kids at home already has me soooo drained! I sometimes daydream about the day I give birth so I can have a mini vacation hehe:) Any ladies out there whos husband works long days?? What do they do? Any car salesmen??

Mine works a normal 8 hour shift but is an overnight black jack dealer. When I am getting up for the day he is going to bed. We have an almost three year old and I feel like a single mom too. Even on his days off he sticks to his sleep schedule we are lucky to see each other two hours a day. It is very stressful especially now that I am ten weeks pregnant.

My husband works in the oil field so he is gone alot. Works 12-15 hour days and on call 24-7. We have a 6, 5 & 1 year olds. And new baby is due in march. It is really hard and stressful to be home 24-7 with the kids. I never get a break. His parents wont keep them when i ask them to and i dont speak to my family anymore.. hubby is actually on his way home now if he doesnt get called back out.. we havent seen him in 3 days. He sleeps in his truck alot because he works 1 1/2 hours from home.

oh wow - I thought I'm the only one who feels like a single ftm mom but isn't.
since a month now, my hubby is staying 25km away with his sister cuz his office is another 30km from there and he finds it easier than staying here with me and my parents. i only see him on weekends.

in a few more weeks he'll be moving back to London, and then I'll only see him at the birth of our baby.

I keep giving him hell about how I feel living this way, but he assures me he works so hard to provide better for baby girl and me. but it su*ks we have had sex only like 4 times in 6 months !!  ... grrr

My husband is an production engineer so he is gone for weeks at a time. Definitely hard when you have the little ones all to yourself. I find I am happiest when we get out of the house to go to the park or museum ect. Wear those kidos down so mama can nap when they do :)

My husband is a chef also, and the hours are brutal.  He just got promoted from sous to head, so now he is in a bunch of meetings also.  Works 5 days a week, 12-14 hour days.  I'm constantly tired he gets off so late, and I try to stay up so I can have some time with him at night. We are expecting our first, and I will quit work a few weeks before I'm due.

My hubby is an or truck driver and is out normally for 1 month at a time. However due to truck breaking down he will gone until November and he left the middle of September :(. I'm 29 weeks with our third baby, but this is the first pregnancy he hasn't been here for.

My hubby is an Exec Chef and works 12 hr days 5/6 days a week, never off on weekends, and I work part time for insurance for our family and usually end up going in on his day off. It *****. It's been a very hard adjustment for me and has taken years to learn to manage. I grew up in a home where my parents own a business together and are together alot. So, this has been challenging.  My heart goes out to the military wives who have to lose their husbands for such long times never knowing when or if they will come home. Makes my life, and many of ours seem a breeze. I remind myself that sometimes when I feel sad.

LexyB05112013 I can imagine having a truck driver for a husband would be hard. My step dad is a truck driver and he and my mom barely get any time together.

My hubby is gone about 12 hours a day, and sometimes has to work on nights and week ends. Honestly I like the way we live and I know he is doing it for our family. But it can be hard, I try and get the most out of the time we do get but I do wish it was more.

My husband works 12 hours a day 5 days a week about 45 minutes out of town and we have a ten year old and our second is due Halloween.  I've always said I feel like a single parent during the week as well as the bad guy in the family because I get to dish out most of the disciplining.  Ready for the day we win the lottery because we aren't striking it rich anytime soon to be in a different position lol. Hope you get your vacation. :-)
