You need to go see the doctor for your back pain and ask for a script that is NOT a class C for your pain. I pulled a strap muscle with my first pregnancy and the pain in my back was so bad I was vomiting.  The doctor put me on flexeril, a class B pain relive safe for baby.

Plenty of women are prescribed hydrocodone, if you abuse it, it heightens the risk of baby having a possible addiction. If youve taken it before & have had no problems then i would take it. I have some from when they prescribed me some for my tooth extraction, & im not a pill popper and didnt even need them :/ theyll probably come in handy later though so i keep em just in case.

I do not have a prescription and I have taken them occasionally throughout my pregnancy due to bad lower back and hip pain. But I came eqn to my Dr about it a few weeks ago and she said as long as I haven't abused it and don't take any more than everything should be okay.. But I was just curious if taking a half now would have any effects on her saying as long as I don't take any more.. I try dealing with the pain or taking extra strength Tylenol but it doesn't help..

You really should ask your doctor and not a forum. The people on here are not medical experts. Just because something is deemed safe for one pregnancy,  doesn't mean that it is safe for every pregnancy.  Everyone is different and you wouldn't want to do something that you end up regretting.

No it will not show up. I have to take Loratab on a daily basis because of having had 2 major back surgeries & also herniated disc in my back. Believe it or not they are safe to take during pregnancy as long as you take them as prescribed. My Dr says it to me like this it is better to take it so you are not in pain because when you are in pain your body becomes stressed & then your baby becomes stressed. I am 6 months & my baby is doing great & progressing as normal. I hope this helps & I hope your pain goes away soon.

There's tons of other things you can try . muscle rub, heating pads, warm baths, massages, Tylenol and they're all baby safe.
