We are currently going to hypnobirthing classes and enjoying every minute. It dispells several things. The thing with it is you have to take the initiative to practice the breathing methods. It sounds like you're reading the book which is great. I recently learned that the rainbow CD we received in class can be found online. I would recommend this too.
Good luck!
Thanks. :) And yes, skyseyes, you should look it up and see what you think.
Never heard of it but now I'm going to have to check it out.
Watch "Labor and Delivery Visualization" on YouTube - Labor and Delivery Visualization: http://youtu.be/5OS6RRPYN_Y
I like to listen to this in the bath (it's the only place I get any peace lol)
Thanks for your input. :) The more I read about hypnobirthing techniques, the more excited and less apprehensive I become about labor. I'm glad to hear it worked so well for you.
I'll definitely look up meditations on youtube. Do you have a favorite meditation or meditation channel that you use?
I had a hypnobirth with my last child. I had a water birth and I am a reiki master. I practiced lots of meditation and visualisation throughout my pregnancy. During labour I focused on breathing my baby out rather than pushing. Telling myself that any pain was going to be over soon. I had a lovely labour, not much pain, no screaming and no stiches. I am doing the same this time round :)
I also listen to hypnobirthing guided meditation on you tube whilst I am in a candlelit bath.
Good luck! X
