Newly Pregnant

Hi - I've just found out that I am pregnant. YAY! I'm really excited, but a little bit concerned. For the last week I have been having period-like pains. Nothing more, just a dull ache. It's a public holiday in SA so I can't phone my doctor. I don't want to be paranoid, but I am a bit concerned. Has anyone else experienced this?

Congrats, little bit of cramping is normal. As long as it is not crippling and there is no blood i wouldn't worry

Congratulations! As the others have said, it is quite normal, as long as you aren't bleeding. Spotting is also sometimes normal in early pregnancy, but if you start losing a lot of blood, that's a bad sign.
Anyway, congratulations again!  I hope you have a happy pregnancy.

Normal! Don't worry! The cramps can become severe but as long as their is no blood it is normal. The uterus is stretching to make room for the baby . I still have them sometimes at 191/2 weeks.
