I don't get it.

My lmp was March 4 but the doctor say I'm due December 9th.  Why wouldn't be December 4th.

My due date is December 9th as well...I went to the dr on the 27th of October and my babies head is measuring at 39 weeks already and weight is showing 6 lbs...everyone is different I guess it all depends on when the baby wants to be born

You last menstal period isn't always accurate since you ovulate after you period. You yet pregnant only after you ovulate. That's why the usually do an ultra sound at your first appointment to get a better grasp.

They originally gave me a due date a week earlier but on the ultrasound they moved it forward a week and asked me if I ovulated late. I was like... How am I supposed to know when I ovulated? Bodies aren't exact sciences.

That's correct the 9 th ...as for kbuffinton you should be the 7th...if they do an ultrasound they will change the date based on the size of baby .... Pregnancy usually lasts 280 days (40 weeks) from the first day of the woman's last menstrual period.every pregnancy is unique, and sometimes babies arrive sooner or later than expected

My lmp was March 2nd and they put my due date as December 13th. I don't know the answer to the question either. It's odd.

Its calculated 280 days after your LMP I believe. 10 months of 28 day months. They probably have a calculator to determine what day is 280 days later.
