active ultrasound??

Had my 18-20wk scan on the 23rd December, the dr called and said I need another because baby was so active they couldn't get enough pics. Has that happened to anyone else here? I'm such a worrier that I think it's something else their not telling me.

Better active than not active! It's a good sign they're healthy. My boy moves more than he doesn't.

Yes, I had to come back during my 19 week scan because they could not get the heart shots and measurements. Baby was face down playing and refused to turn over. Went back a few days later, did a lot of walking and laying from one side to the other, but finally he decided to turn over and they got what thy needed.

I had to do the same. Baby boy didn't want to sit still so they couldn't get all the shots they needed. Had another one done at 35 wks and he was the same way. We just have active babies :)

Happened to me at 20 week's. We had to do a 40 minute ultrasound just to find out the sex and then I had to come back the next week and we did more measurements lol because he was so active they couldn't get good accurate ones.  (:

My 1st son was extremely active and it took a lot to get what they needed when I went in for any of my scans. They had a very difficult time getting his heatbeat at times because he was moving so much.

At that age, they have more room to move and the ultrasound probe bothers them. That's why they move. You are being a worrier. And there is no need to be.

I'm in the uk but I had to go back after my 20 week scan at around 22 weeks because they couldn't see the baby's face and needed to check if there was a cleft palate. It's common if they can't do all the checks they need to due to baby's position/movement. Try not to worry! X

Yea I'm sure it's nothing. I've had 4 miscarriages, and on the 20 wk scan I had with my daughter they found out she didn't have her right hand, so thats why I worry. Although her being born without her right hand has made zero difference to her development!!

This happened to me today. I am 11 weeks and during the ultrasound the baby kept moving. I had to be there for a while before they could get pictures. Just be calm, it may be nothing more than what they say
