Induced

Hello everyone. I'm 40wks-3days pregnant (1cm dialated, 50% effaced) and I'm a FTM. I am being induced either Tuesday or Wednesday and I am very nervous. I understand that they will try to soften my cervix  more and then put me on Pitocin (I think that's how it's spelled) . Does anyone have any advice or want to share their story about what happened when they were induced? I'm praying everything goes well and I know hearing some stories will put me at ease. TIA

I was emergency induced with my daughter. Because of my heart I couldn't sit up to adjust and relieve pain. Yes, the pitocin is to make contractions happen so yes, you may want to become familiar with pain relieving options. I am pregnant with my second and am debating being induced because I don't know what naturally going into labor is!

both of my induced labors were not bad experiences although the first time was the longest it was all worth it good luck don't be scared all will be fine
