I was induced at 39 weeks. I was 2cm and over 50% effaced. They put cervidil around my cervix for 12 hours (8pm - 8am). I was 3cm by then and they started pitocin in my IV. They broke my water about noon and shortly after I got an epidural  (I was about 5cm). I fell asleep for a few hours and I was ready to push by 530pm. We waited for the doctor to get there while they set the room up. I started pushing at 6pm and my daughter was born at 628 pm. Overall I had a very good experience with being induced! Good luck!!! :) (I was a ftm)

Well they may give you a pill in your vagina which may take an entire day to take effect to dialate you. Or they will put you on an iv of pitocin. Contactions will come fast and hard. Its definitely not the easiest or most pleasant way to have a baby but youll be okay. But usually induction does hurt worse. But thats all that will be different is theyll set you up first then labor will start. Good luck
