My doctor said you can take then with food, but if they make you feel gross to take them before bed with a glass of OJ or some vitamin c.

Iron is important if you're anemic, even a little bit as baby needs it for better oxygen flow. Not taking it can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth, low birth weight, and premature birth.

I take one with dr order because my iron level was low. But I take my vatimans just before bed. No nausea.

You're actually suppose to take them with food or you'll end up throwing them up!  I take iron pills from Nature made and they're really tiny and 65mg so that plus the mg from your vitamins should be good!

Tifforther2015 on my iron tablets it says to take them with food, been on them on and off for 5 years, never had a problem. So depends on the type you have.

My doctor said my iron was a tiny bit low. So I take 2 a day. But I'm also taking folic acid. So I don't know whether I need it.

If you're taking Prenatal vitamins you should be fine on iron and not need extra supplements unless you're anemic or your doctor to you to. My doctor told me not to take extra iron (other than what's in my vitamins) because I don't need it.
