Job ( sorry if its long )

So I am almost 21 weeks along. I told my job I was pregnant the day after I found out. Never been a issue. Well my doctor said for me not to lift anything over 40 pounds.  I told my job that and its never seemed to be a issue ( at least I thought so ) well the other night I told the girl that worked the overnight shift I did what I could in the cooler ( I work at a gas station ) and she tells my boss I did it a little since I can't lift over 40 pounds. Which my boss knew about but never asked me for a note from the doctor.  My problem is now I am not getting any hours and I feel like I am being punished for being pregnant.  Im not handicap im pregnanct I can still do 99% of the things required at my job. I feel like I should talk to Corporate about it but I dont want to loose my job either. Any opinions?

That other girl clearly has a problem if she's telling and they know your pregnant. I'm 8weeks and don't lift heavy things for customers and I just find someone else to do it, and I actually got more hours since I told them I'm pregnant. But file for unemployment and be honest with your manager about not getting your hours cut.

Trust me I truly understand. I would fill in for others as well and I feel the same I'm pregnant, not handicapped.

Thanks I will have to check into it. I went from 28 or more at least to 18 and I always fill in when needed. Just feel like they are trying to punish me.

I agree ^^^^, file unemployment. The say things has happened to me and I work @ at retail maternity store. I told my boss and brought in paperwork from my doctor stating everything and one of the leads had the problem, not my boss and my hours and days were cut. I was working 25-30 hours every week and my hours got cut 5 hours and two days for the whole week. I had open availability and could work the hours and days. I filed for unemployment.

If your hours have been cut in half,  or more than half. File an unemployment claim for reduced hours. This means you are stating you are employed and available for work but your hours have been reduced due to no fault of your own.
