Kidney stones

Hello everyone, I am currently sitting in a hospital on day 2 suffering from kidney stones. The stone passed yesterday thank god!(worst pain I have ever had in my life) this is my 3child and first time experiencing this. My question Is has anyone else ever gone through this and had perfectly healthy babes, I completely trust my Drs and the hospital but I can't help but to worrie about my baby. They had to give me so many different medications and I'm so worried

While I'm finally getting to go home :) and yes they said drink plenty of water which is odd cause I have no history of kidney stones but since I found out I was pregnant I drink a lot of water constant thru out the day and I have favored lemon aid I don't ever drink soda or any caffeine so I think mine might be from calcium as well. They are going to analyze the stone so I'm hoping to know more later. One thing I will say is I give major propes to Anyone who has had to pass a stone- by far the worst pain I have ever felt!

My brothers gf is 18 and had the same thing around 20 weeks or so. She is now 37 weeks and her and baby seem to be just fine :)

I'm so nervous about getting a kidney stone. I've officially had one, but I've had maybe three or four others since I was 18 (span of 7 years). Mine is from caffeine, so with the limited caffeine intake I'm hoping I'll be okay. I was told to drink cranberry juice, which I drink grape cranberry and it really helps. My mom drinks lemonade and it helps her. I'm sure you'll be fine. Trust your doctors and make sure to drink plenty of fluids.

My stones are from calcium, so i have to watch how much i consume! I actually switched the water i was drinking and have gone 2 months without a stone. Your doctor might analyze the stone so they know what caused it, but i drink lots of water and after i eat i have a glass of lemonade which cleans out your kidneys and all of that has seemed to help, you can always message me with any questions and ill be more than happy to help as much as i can!

Thank you that makes me feel a bit better. I'm so sorry to hear your history with this. I'm 19 wks pregnant and I could not imagine going thru this again! I'm still in the hospital I have no more stones but they do think I have a infection in my bladder:( Im just ready for this to be over and I can take care of me and baby in the comfort of my home. Was there, or is there anything I can do to prevent this happening again?
