I've had 3 csections and nursed all my babies. It's always nerve racking. I was scared each time. Take time to relax as much as U can now. A planned C is easier than an emergency C. Remember to follow the post op instructions very carefully.
My 1st C which was an emergency I had a hard time starting to nurse. After the C baby was rushed to NICU & I was in recovery w/out baby for 12hrs... So baby got the bottle for 1.5 days. Then I started nursing, Ur body knows what to do, even after waiting that long to start nursing my milk still came in & I nursed him for 2yrs. Really Ur milk comes in a few days post baby, 1st it's all colostin-the baby sucking stimulates milk production. Bring a nursing pillow (I love my Boppy), make sure Ur 1st nursing bras are wireless (the wire support can interfere w milk production). Also pack a night gown u can nurse in easily. The night gown is great bcuz it won't rub on Ur incision. Many blessings

Because you won't be in labor at all, this will go a lot smoother than what mode people think. I am scheduled Aug 27 for c section myself, but I did hear that the chemical release from contractions are what causes breast milk to come in and this is what worries me too. Most likely you will get a "spinal" which is different than an epidural, meaning it works right away (according to a close friend). My first time was Emergency, so I don't have anything to compare to except that. Relax, take everything slow, trust me when I say recovery is not as bad as everyone thinks. Take any help you are offered and you will be fine! Good luck :)

Ok 1st of all if it's not an emergency c section they won't do anastasia . Also normal they only let 1 person in the room with you  and since your strapped to the table the 1st to hold the baby is that person in the room with you. Then once they get you all stich ed up and on the next bed they let you hold the baby. And they normally won't let anyone in the recovery room with you and your husband for about an hr. Also you'll be in the hospital for 3 to 5 days before you get to go home. I'm going to have my 2nd c section and I'm nervous  to about the needles. The other stuff I'm pretty prepared for bc I know what to expect. Good luck ladys.

No need to be nervous and who gets to hold baby first is mom they want you to bond and then id do dad or grandma if no dad then grandpa :) but your first... i was put to sleep my first csection due to bad complications and as soon as i woke up they wanted baby in my arms normally they would have you hold him right away but due to my circumstance it was dad my mom then his dad i was out for a hour i am having a csection again :) i fear more for anxiety due to my situation but i know i am in good hands :)

Nervous here too.  Schedule d to be induced Friday.  Upset about the medicine and side effects and about people poking around down there.   I am sensitive and every time I get checked is so uncomfortable.   Not sure why but ugh.  The ways to ripen the cervix dont sound so great either.  But excited for an end in sight.  Love my little man bouncing around in me.  Will be happy so happy to meet him.  Good luck to us all.  I will be thinking about you.  Please think of me Friday.  Let's post back our stories too to share!!!  :) ♡☆♡☆♡ Good luck ladies for a safe and speedy delivery.

I have to go in Friday for my scheduled c-section (This isn't my first time) and I'm nervous! Also stressed out too cause I don't want anyone but the dad to see the baby until I'm fully out of recovery and my daughter has gotten to meet her sister.
