discharge

Sorry in advance if this post has TMI.  I'm now 35 weeks exactly. I woke up this morning and felt really damp down below, when I went to the toilet, there was lots of discharge, like ten times more than normal, and it had a brownish tinge to it. Not gloopy or stringy or anything like that, just a lot. I think I lost some of my plug on Sunday as there was a jelly like blob when I wiped.

I hate feeling like I'm bothering my midwife for every little thing, and I dont have an appointment to see her again until Wednesday next week.   Is this normal? X

Ha ha, my midwife said I was at risk of preterm labour, (I was admitted at 29 weeks) so mine and babys bags are packed and ready to go. My mums boyfriend has made me a big catch of soup so I can pop in to the freezer, and ill be making some chilli and that to freeze. I like the cookie dough option :-)  yeah I'm dreading visitors crowding, his family can be quite overbearing and I know they'll all want to come visiting the day we come home, especially since the father and I aren't together any more however we are trying to sort stuff out to get back together and him to move back home, so the frozen meals will be a lifesaver since I won't have much free time. And I already told him that ill be tired and sore from labour (understandably) so he'll be doing the tea and coffee rounds x

Oh, that's good (sorry you had to go through the trouble, though) 35 Weeks is a bit early for you're little one. Now's a good time to make sure everything is in order, your bag is packed, make a list of who you are going to call, start addressing envelopes for baby announcements, etc. And if you get stir crazy, make a few dinners or a batch of cookie dough and freeze them for after you have the baby (and hungry and clueless guests show up and overstay their welcome) (or your hubby suddenly forgets how to boil water) ....speaking from experience

Call sounds like labor and its b4 38 weeks so it's preterm better to be safe than sorry. If they can stop it or slow it down better. Also if it is Labor ask for a steroid shot to help the lungs and avoid nicu.

Sometimes the babys head does not engage until labour.Call the midwives at the hospital, should be in the front of your pregnancy folder and just tell them what is happening, sounds to me like you are in the early stages of labour.

theyre just constant for over an hour now, curled up with my hot water bottle, which isn't really helping.   i would eed to call local labour ward as opposed to my midwife cause she just a community midwife that works mon - fri.   ill try see if tummy tightening through the cramps.   was examined mon night and head down though not engaged, would it become engaged this quick? x
