I am 10 1/2 weeks pregnant. My doctor told me I can only highlight my hair because it wouldn't touch my scalp...but since my roots are dark I want to color my hair to match my roots. Has anyone colored their hair while pregnant?

I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant and I've dyed my hair 3 times now, just a box I buy at Wal-Mart, and I just do it in a ventilated area , it's been on my scalp and everything. So far my pregnancy has been great and all healthy.

I'm 12 weeks & I had my hair done 3 weeks ago & it didn't take. I tried to dye my hair during my last pregnancy  & the color was very off & I had to dye it 3 times to get all my hair 1 color! If you can wait, wait. Otherwise, good luck!

Thank you all for the responses. I was planning on going to my hair stylists and ask him not to touch my scalp

I have dyed my hair with both my pregnancies. It is fine to dye it. I recently dyed mine with this pregnancy. If u can't handle the ammonia I use the garner fructose brand and it doesn't smell all that strong. Make work better for you.

I colored my hair with both my previous pregnancies and my doc told me it was fine. He did suggest using ammonia free but said either was fine. Just make sure if your doing it at home to do it in a well vented room.
