Lunch Meat

So....I keep hearing that pregnant women shouldn't eat lunch meat that isn't heated then I hear it's a myth....what do you think or do?? Do you eat it if it's not heated??

Yes you can get sick and cause problems from deli meat. I've just stayed away from it because it is an extremely common cause of headaches and migraines.

Apparently it's due to the risk of food poisoning - same with bbq chicken, buffet foods etc - as you don't know how long they've been sitting there and if they've been kept at the right temperature.
I ate whatever I could manage to stomach with my first and she turned out fine so I'm doing the same this time :)

Same here with my other 2 I don't really remember restricting anything....I just wondered what other ladies were doing..... thank you.

They say you shouldn't have cold meats from packets in the fridge at shopping centres or from the deli but in fairness I had fresh cold meat from the deli and my son turned out fine!
