Mrs farris is right. We do not require milk for nutrition. It is actually not very healthy, but is pushed for the profits from the huge agricultural feeding operations that benefit the government. You can obtain the nutrients from vegetables (: if you like the taste of milk and personally want to drink it, goat milk is the healthiest for human consumption. (Cows have multiple stomachs for a reason) If you like it though, go for a lower fat volume - like 1% or skim.

Of course it is completely your choice! This is your body and your baby and no matter what you decide, it will be right for you (: I'm just offering the knowledge.

You don't need milk to have a healthy baby. Calcium is found in dark leafy greens.  There are healthy fat sources as well as protein.

The reason I was thinking about Soy was because I'm suffering from morning sickness almost 24/7 lol so my intake of milk is very low right now, just seems to upset my stomach more of course.

Yup it's the best soy milk and almond milk are also good for you and have vitamins and stuff but nothing is better than whole milk, you get the extra vitamins from your prenatals. My dr gave me a chart comparing soy milk to whole milk, and it's just so much better
