I had it for 5 yes with no compilations
I had Mirena for a little while, but I had problems with the strings. First one of the strings was cut roughly and was rubbing my vaginal wall. Had that trimmed but I was still uncomfortable so I had it removed. I had a very tender spot on my cervix where the strings excited. After it was removed the spot scarred and was still tender for a few years. It has finally healed.
They say complications are extremely rare, but I sure hear about a lot of women who have problems with IUDs.
I had mine in for longer than your supposed to. I had no complications with it. I loved it. But they are right it's not for everybody. I also got pendant right away after it was removed. Like a month after.
I had the Mirena for 3 years having a very cramps period for 2 weeks every 8 months or so I went in to have it removed bc I had a feeling something was wrong with it and I was right I had partially imbedded! I only narrowly avoided surgery thankfully my OB got it herself after 2 hours of digging around and getting assistance from the ultrasound tech. It took 2 years almost to the day for us to conceive and now I'm 10w 5d! Didn't think we would even get to this point.
I had mirena for one year, had absolutely no period. I did have really bad cramps and i ended up with a lot of ovarian cysts that landed me in the hospital frequently. It also caused weight gain and headaches for me. Plus my hubby could feel it too, I will not use it again. After I had it taken out in July I conceived in Nov.
I used it and didnt really have cramping or anything my main problem was that my husband always seemed to hit it even after the dr trimmed it. I had it in for almost 4 years and got pregnant no problem right after having it removed.
I did and had a horrible experience. It caused major cramping and then I got an infection. I had them remove it after 3 months. But I do know people that used it for years and loved it. A friend had it removed and easily got pregnant. So it's great for some but not everyone.
