Missed miscarriage - still nothing on ultrasound at almost 8 weeks

Dear ladies,
I am going crazy being unsure about my safety. Last period 9 Sep, 2015 (cycle 31-32 days).

At first I had low rising hgc levels:

At my Family Dr Oct 20 - 787
At my OB Dr Oct 26 - 1323
OBGyn Dr Oct 28 - 1606
Ultrasound showed nothing anywhere just thicker uterus lining.
ObGyn Dr Nov 2 - 1517 (a drop in hgc)
Ultrasound showed nothing anywhere (no sac, no sign of it)
Progesterone 17.7

My OB Dr says could have been an early missed miscarriage of it is in tubes. Wants my levels check on Nov 5 to see how they behave.
I am scared of ectopic. Any similar experiences? How can I be sure? Can it be there is nothing seen on US and it is still a normal miscarriage?

Sometimes the baby has been known to vanish. I read about it awhile back. I might be wrong but I think it's if your body absorbs it back or something. Not fully sure. I'd definitely keep a close eye on symptoms and ask many questions to the doctor.

They couldn't see anything even not a sac at your 4000 something hgc? Right? I am wondering I just have s plain miscarriage of an in-uterine preg or I should still dread ectopic.

I am aware it is definitely a failed pregnancy just hope it is not ectopic. I wonder if it can be plain missed miscarriage and nothing visible on ultrasound.

If your levels are dropping, then it's likely that you either are going to miscarry or have already unfortunately...

When I got checked at first my hcg levels were 456 I went back a few days later they were 4900 but they still couldn't see anything on vaginal US well I recently got an ultrasound yesterday and I was thinking I was 8wks pregnant but I was told I was only 6wks but we saw the baby and the heartbeat maybe you're just extremely early like me pray that's what I did.
