My baby boy is here!!!!!

I went to the Dr last Tuesday morning with contractions. they put me on the monitor and told me I was not in labor and gave me two pills to stop contractions to take once I got home. Me being almost 42 weeks did not take them. I laid in bed a while and did some house work and by about 6-7pm I called my midwife and told her on top of the contractions I was having pressure like I needed to push. She had me go in to the birthing center she got me started on my iv antibiotics and hooked me up to the monitor to see how contractions were. She looked at the monitor and said they were not frequent or strong enough and I was not in full labor and she would have to break my water a couple of hours after my antibiotics finished. I tried to tell her I was having lots of contractions and they were very strong just very low and not my entire stomach, she said to be labor it had to be my entire stomach. She checked me and said I was still four cm and she would be back in two hours to break my water. About an hour later I called her back in to check me because the pressure got worse. She said baby was all the way down but I was only a five cm abd she would be back in thirty minutes. About 15 minutes later I called her back in because I felt like I needed to push she checked me and said not to push because I was only 7 cm. I push anyways because it was the only way to deal with the pain. She sat in and talked with me for a few minutes trying to calm me down to bear the pain then she realized it was time and started heating up the baby warmer and getting stuff ready. Then had me start pushing, his head was getting stuck (he has a big head) but I finally got it out right when I had decided to give up on pushing. After I had a good bit of blood loss but over all I was fine. I was over due and he had passed stool but they cleaned his nose and mouth out, they had a little trouble warming him but had him nice and warm after an hour and a half.

Wyatt was little over 9 lbs and beautiful. From being over his skin was flakey but he is so perfect. He even took to nursing like a pro.

My midwife was young and it showed with her inexperience. I hope she learned that modern machines can not always be relied on and she should take cues off of mothers body and an experienced moms word.  I also have panic disorder and she had me freaking out while pushing. The point of a midwife is to do natural peaceful delivery, her job is to keep mom calm and deliver baby safely. Over all she did her job but it showed she was not very experienced. The midwife I wanted was not on call which upset me because she deliver my last daughter two years ago. I can't complain too much though because my baby was safe and healthy.
