My baby is 7.5 pounds in the 38th week, would it increase?

My baby is 7.5 pounds already in the 38th week and theres no dilation till yet, my due date is 2nd feb and because its my first baby and a girl everyone is saying it may take more time in dilation... Would the weight increase in the coming two weeks? Doctor asked me to eat less even though I haven't eaten very much in my whole pregnancy.. Iv just taken three time meals (not even eating in the nights)

There is no way they can accurately tell you your babies weight inside the womb. It is a guess. They a very commonly wrong. On that note, yes your baby will continue to gain weight, and that is a good thing. Do not stop or alow your eating, that won't change weight just cause nutritional deficiencies for you both. My son was 8 lbs 14oz vaginally delivery. Chances are your baby won't get too big. You only have a couple weeks left. Goodluck

Yes the baby can still gain weight. Also, the weight is just a guess.

Baby still puts on weight but not at an alarming rate towards the end of pregnancy and the doctor shouldn't really being saying that as it's only an estimate and they can be wrong by quite a bit, I was told I was going to have a small baby until she popped out at 7lbs 13oz which is quite average xx
