What's the point in having a Dr if he's never there?!

Go for my visit today where I was supposed to get induced or talk about induction.  Second time in 2 weeks Dr wasn't there. Had to reschedule yet again. Now people have me worked up and scared saying that he should be checking baby's heartbeat,  etc which isn't being done only the cervix check. I'm frustrated and scared and of I wasn't 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant I would find another dr. I almost feel like I would be better off if my husband just put on a catchers mi and delivered the baby in our bathroom!!!! Ugh. This whole experience has been scary enough where I do not want any more kids. I have a 16 year old and hopefully a newborn in a few days if everything goes well.

Yes I'm in texas. I picked this Dr because he had lots of high ratings from other patients but he's got soo many to keep track of that many aren't getting treated right.

Steph - nobody is checking the baby's heartrate?  That should absolutely be done every week at this point.

I'd call them,  and set up at least a nurse's appointment for tomorrow to get the heartrate checked.

I'm curious too,  what kind of facility this is - are you in the US?

I am sorry things aren't going well for you. I hope they get better for you soon. Pretty soon you will have your little one in arms and none of this would have mattered. I thought my kids where spaced out with 13 years between them. I am glad I am not the only one.

Very unprofessional. Is it a private doctor?
