Non stop coughing!

I'm 38 weeks today and woke up on Monday feeling like hell.. Had my doctors appointment on Thursday and I thought I was feeling better and doctor just said to take Tylenol and do other normal home cold remedies but since Thursday night i developed a cough that hurts so bad in my belly! I know baby is still moving good but I've taken Tylenol and today I tried robitussin and it just hasn't helped! My next appointment isn't until Thursday. Anyone else have this happen and took something that worked? What would you do? My stomach hurts so bad from coughing idk if I can continue like this but I know my medicines are limited being pregnant! I just feel awful! :(

I don't think robitussin is safe to take. I would drink hot water with honey and lemon. If you have a humidifier use that at night with vicks. You can also Sit in the bathroom with the hot shower running if no humidifier. Lots of liquids. Since you are pregnant you can't take much and you just need to fight through it the old fashioned way.

Thank you! I went to the ER and they just gave me mucinex and tessalon which I already had and has done nothing! I've been drinking tea and honey like crazy! Only thing that does help is a hot shower but as soon as I get out, I start coughing again! I hate that it depends on the doctor because when the nurse was explaining the prescriptions he said if I wasn't pregnant, I could have got Tylenol with codeine, but last time I was pregnant I got Tylenol 3 for my back! I'm hoping if it's still going on when I have my appointment on Thursday, my actual doctor will do something better!
