Normal not to hear heartbeat?

The dr was able to hear the heartbeat at 12 weeks but today I'm at 14 weeks and the nurse practitioner could not find it... Is this normal??

Baby could have been in a position where he was turned a certain way and wasn't able to pick up the heart beat. I have a doppler and when I first started using it, it literally would take half hour just to find my sons heart beat. I'm now almost 29 weeks pregnant and find it fast

I'm 12w5d my doctors can't find the heartbeat using the doppler, the have to scan every time but the baby is fine. I was told I have a tilted uterous. Maybe that's you too? I did not have one with my other children.

Some days I couldn't find it. Just how stubborn your little one wants to be. Plus they are still small which makes moving very easy to get away.
