Pain due to coughing

Hey

I have just entered my 9th week. I am feeling sharp pain on both sides of my lower abdomin when I cough. I have noticed it happes only when I am lying down. Is it normal?? Its my first pregnany so am I bit worried :-(

It's called round ligimament pain, very common I have it too and I'm 10 weeks +5 :)

I had the same thing today when sneezing it felt awful. But settled down straight after and been feeling normal tonight. Also first time mum and Im 7 weeks

I had that with all three of my pregnancies, it's normal. Holding your stomach when you feel it coming helps.

It's probably just from your ligaments stretching due to your growing uterus.

I also have that. Not sure why.

I have the same thing.  It happens when I stand up or sit up too fast, sometimes. Try pulling your knees up when you feel like you are to cough or sneeze. It seems to help.
