I was wondering how much hospitals charge to deliver your baby

Wow, I'm so lucky! In Australia if you don't have insurance than you use the public system (all tax payee funded) and you don't pay a cent for anything! I have insurance and chose to use the private system so my insurance covers most of it, but I'll be up for about $2500. But If I couldn't afford that I could use the public system.

Crazy how different the prices are 2 days in hospital vaginal birth with epidural was a little over 5000 here in my small town in Washington state

California's average cost of delivery plus hospital stay is approx $18000 for vag and $27000 for c-sec. That is without insurance.

What the !?? U hav to pay to deliver a baby in hospital .. im in nz we dnt pay a cent. Our taxes cover all hospital admissions we only pay if we visit our private gp even then if its pregnancy related its free..

Same procedure in a different state or country can be significantly less..

My friend entire pregnancy was $10000 and with insurance she only owed $20!.. As far as a bill goes.. Not including co pays or deductibles

It depends on how long you're there, what meds, and procedures you have as well. Plus each hospital is different.  It will def be like 3ish thousand. Ive always had insurance or been on base so not real sure how much it is without...

My hospital charges 2500, that's for vaginal or c-section... Glad I have insurance!!
