Positive after miscarriage??

I had a silent miscarriage(second miscarriage) 4 weeks ago,went for 8wk scan lost heartbeat at 7wks. started medical treatment 3wks ago but after that the embryo still hadnt passed,had scan 2weeks ago and only a little tissue left so im going back for scan next week to see if everything has passed. My husband and i have still had intercourse in the meantime. did a random pregnancy test today and its come up a strong positive. surely its still the hormone levels and not the fact of a pregnancy again???
is this possible?

Hi...had scan today and theres quite a bit of tissue left. As im due a period anytime now they think it will pass with that so another scan in 2weeks now...

Congratulations and good luck for your scan. I had a positive result 3 n half week's after my miscarriage in April. I'm now 3months pregnant with a healthy looking baby with a very strong heartbeat ;)

Still showing positive tests....its been 5weeks now. Cant wait for scan on wednesday just to put mind at ease

Totally understandable. You have to absorb what all is happened. No one canever fault yyou for that.

after the first miscarraige it took 10 months to concieve again. i completely agree with you xbabyboyx2,we had intercourse the once,but so much going on i have no reason for being quite silly! after 2weeks ago when i was supposed to go for d&c but they wouldnt operate as it was such a small amount left. my bleeding(which was extremely light,more like discharge) stopped last week. they booked me in for a scan next wednesday just to make sure that everything has passed to be sure, too be honest im hoping its just my hormone levels still high,dont know if i could cope with a pregnancy so soon,still havent fully takien this one in. But thankyou for all the help.

If you still have left over tissue that can cause the positive. But I would bring it up to the dr.

i think (not 100% sure) u could be pregnant again as its very easy to conceive after a miscarriage. only thing is if u still had some tissue in there to pass then i cant be sure what would happen i would defo call ur doctor i personally would not have still been haven sex during a misscarriage, i also had a silent misscarriage a couple years ago went for my 12w scan and turned out baby hadnt had heartbeat since 8weeks i didnt know and then it took a further 2weeks to pass the fetus
