Pregnant While Obese

Hi there! Are there any ladies who are pregnant and heavy, or have been pregnant and heavy? All my girlfriends are thin and I am just looking for some like-minded and bodied ladies to discuss things with. I have made the terrible mistake of Googling things and now I'm convinced my epidural will wear off and my doctor is going to try and pressure me into a c-section just because I'm fat, lol. If any of you ladies want to share some of your experiences that would be great ☺ I am 9wks along today.

I had an epidural with my 2nd baby I have always been heavy. I had no issues with it wearing off. I think I got to much though. After I had my daughter and they took it out my leg us numb for hours afterwards. I'm 34 wks and days. I plan on my epidural for this little lady too. Good luck and don't read to much into things.

Im 5'1" and currently 210, started pregnancy at 200. Currently 28 weeks, this is my first pregnancy and Im hoping to go through labor naturally as much as I can anyways. I am terrified of needles so definitely dont want an epidural. Ive been exercising regularly since beginning of 2nd trimester so hoping things will go well and hoping not to gain to much more weight.

I'm overweight & almost 39wks. Weight has been a constant discussion throughout my pregnancy, but I don't have gestational diabetes, haven't had high BP & all tests have been good. I'm a ftm so no prior experience but other than my weight, I've had a healthy pregnancy. Don't let them pressure you into things or make you feel better.

I too am a juicy mamma to three girls and soon to be first son. I was overweight with my 2nd and 3rd but had no gest diabetes, high blood pressure and all tests always came back fine. My first I went into natural labour then the next 2 I had my waters broken...all births went fine with no complications and I did them all naturally with no drugs or gas just sheer determination!! Don't read too much into things and don't let your docs scaremonger you coz it will only make you anxious and probably from stress cause things to go a little different. You can do this cause we women were born to do it fat or skinny! Have a goal and plan in mind and stick to it and you'll be fine...I always say "The thought becomes the deed" so tell yourself that you are strong and going to do it your way and it will. Good luck!!!

I'm 5, 4 and 230 lbs and 15w3d.  I'm a first time mom and also scared of everything they say that could happen because of my weight.  I have pcos so I had blood sugar and blood pressure problems before I even got pregnant and now I'm even more terrified.  I've just been trying to eat healthy and exercise.  I haven't gained any weight so far.  Just praying for a healthy baby.
