Hair and Perms

Did any of you moms have problems when you got a perm from the hair salon or even did it yourself did it affect the baby in any type of way?. Because im in my third trimester and i wanted to get a light touch up. So hopefully it won't harm the baby in any way. I am a first time mom. So i just wanted to know if it will hurt or harm baby thank you

I'm also a hairdresser and would advise all my clients not to get a perm while pregnant. The fumes are too strong and you don't know what chemicals from it seep into you. I do y even like giving them while pregnant.

I am a hair dressers also and I give perms while being pregnant but I wouldn't get one. Its bad enough me breathing in fumes while putting it on my client I leave them to sit w it on and go into out break room. I couldn't imagen sitting w it on my head.

I'm a hairdresser and there is no way I'd get a perm while pregnant as not only are u inhaling some of the strongest chemicals used in the salon it is also seeping into ur pores etc.. on ur scalp. All pregnant woman are warned about toxic fumes when painting rooms and even certain chemicals in cleaning products so I personally wouldn't take the chance for the sake of a few weeks
