Premature babies Support groups/forums/Pages to join?

Hi All,  I am a new mommy to a very premature baby boy born on new years morning at 27 weeks. I am still new to all for this and would love to hear successful stories,  get some advise and follow up and relate with other mommies that went through the same thing. It's now only day 2 that past. So far his doing well,  it's just extremely hard to see him in that physical state with all the machines and pipes and also not able to touch him. But I know his a Lil fighter. Any groups, forums or pages you know that I can follow perhaps on our difficult journey ahead?  Thank you and God bless xxxx

See if you can sit with him while you express, or smell a blanket he's been using, it may help with milk production.  Check out la leche league too.  Also, make sure you do it at least once during the night.  I had a lot of trouble in the beginning, it came in eventually.

Wow that is truly amazing ladies how far you've come. Thanks for sharing your stories with ne,  it does create hope.  I believe in his abilities to fight and his a real strong boy. His in good care. Gids little angel. For now I'm trying to express some milk, only day 4 struggling a bit,  but sure it will come. Anything to assist him. It's hard not to being able to hold them,  but I know it's for the best.  Must just continue to pray xxx

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate circumstances. My oldest son was born at 25 weeks 4 days. He stayed in the nicu for 3 1/2 months. It was the hardest period of my life. On a good note, he is 5 years old and thriving now.
In the very beginning he had some complications- low white blood cell count so he was on med for about 18 months. But everything eventually normalized.
Good luck with yours, and I wish yall the best xoxo

Hi, am sorry to hear that but your baby will be fine ,it's tough I've been there with my daughter ,she was born at 30weeks and stayed at the NICU for 6wks but she has never had a problem ever since she came home ,it's now 2 years down the line ,I've never even taken her to see a doctor even for a cold ,we just go for regular check up, so take heart my dear and your baby will be OK sooner than you know .

Thank you very much. Yes his super tiny at the moment. 1.1kg and only 28cm also very thin and on the vent. I think as soon as his off the vent and all looks good I can start kangaroo care. Can't wait.  For now I'm waiting and trying to get my breast milk to come through so I can atleast offer him that xxxx

I have not had this experience so i don't have any advice, but i am sorry you and your little boy have to go through that. I hope everything is going well. I am concerned that they wont let you hold him. I know he needs the machines and is small but a mothers touch is very important. I hope he gets better soon and you get to hold him. Congrats on having your little one and im glad he's doing well under the circumstances. Wish y'all the best.
