Restless legs

Anyone here experiencing restless legs?  I'm 8 weeks along and have only experienced restless legs prior to pregnancy when using sleeping pills. Now it seems to happen many nights, though not as severe as when I used to be medicated. I know baths help, but those are not always a possibility. Anyone know of other things that might help?

I had RLS before pregnancy and now it is much worse! I find warm bath helps (I actualy go in y Hottub we keep the temp lower so I can go in) and magnesium supplement has been the best help. Calcium shouldn't make a difference I have heard that's more for cramps. Stretching seems to help too, or leaving my legs out of the blankets so they get cold, good luck they are a pain in the ***. I can't even relax while watching tv sometimes!

Restless feet can be caused by low iron or/and magnesium levels also. I have been  suffering it too, very annoing. I found foam roller helpful, rolling my calf muscles is like massage but more effective. I also take iron and magnesium every day. I work on my feet and after work my legs were usually swollen and very tired. Then I bought myself compression hosiery and find it very helpful! Now after work my feet are feeling much lighter and the restless feet syndrome is not so often anymore. Also try to put your feet higher than your pelvis while resting! Good luck!

Did your doctor say it was a calcium deficiency? Those suggestions are super helpful. I'll let you know if I find anything else that works.

Yes. Had them with my first pregnancy towards the end but have it now again with this pregnancy at the beginning. Its the worst feeling and makes it so hard to sleep.I take calcium pills (doc recommended)and then I always spray a lavender/chamomile aromatherapy sleep spray from bath and body works on my pillow and then stretch and massage my legs. It helps in the beginning to get to sleep. But if you find any other remedies im all ears.
