Second pregnancy

My water broke in 4th month in my first pregnancy and I was under complete rest till delivery and n9w my baby is 5yr old. Right now iam pregnant with 5 weeks, is there any chances like the same might happen in this pregnancy too? I am scared. Iam a working mom.

This is a great question for your doctor.  I think this can happen randomly and it does not mean it will happen with this pregnancy.  but that is something to discuss with your doctor.  An incompetent cervix is something that happens in multiple pregnancies so I'm glad you didn't have that.  Wow, that was a long time to be on bedrest!  I bet that was hard!!  Congrats on the new baby---  VERY exciting!!

I know you are considered high risk.   I asked my dr. The same thing he said it was no guarantee. My water broke at 6 months I was put on bed rest at the hospital and had her at 30 weeks

It happened with my second.  And then my third was full term.  She is doing great you would never guess she was preemie

I honestly think youll be fine. Every pregnancy is different. Some have normal babies there first time and 2nd baby completly different. But the odds of it happening again i think is pretty low. Ask ur doctor and see what he/she suggest. Maybe take an easy this time around? Good luck..
