Sense of smell

Hi ladies. My sense of smell is through the roof! I can smell EVERYTHING! It's making me sick to my stomach. It's sensory overload. I'm only 8 weeks. Anyone else ever have this?

It is normal during pregnancy.

FUN FACT- it is thought to be nature's way of protecting the baby. When not much was known and medical technology had not advanced refrigeration was not widely available. It is now thought that is how the first mother's knew what was safe for her baby to eat. That way she did not harm baby by eating rotten, spoiled or poisonous food.

The facts of why are bodies go through so much weird changes that have nothing to do with being pregnant or delivering a baby are really unknown and a mystery. However there are some very good guesses on why.

Just thought I would share this information because it might make you feel better on the UN enjoyable side effect of pregnancy you are experiencing.
