Severe pain left side of vagina

Hello all.
For around 2 months I've had a bad pain in my vagina area (left side only) as the months have went on its gotten worse. When I am sitting or laying it is very painful to get up. I am 33 weeks and my doctor told me its round ligament pain, or the baby is on a nerve. That isn't the case.  This is my third pregnancy- I know the difference and its only on my left side- constantly. I did some reading and read something about veins being on that side etc. Has anyone else had extreme pain on the left side and what did you do to get relief and what did your doctor tell you it was?

Thanks ladies. Goodluck with the rest of your pregnancies. I have a doctors appointment today. I am going to mention it again. This has seriously been the hardest pregnancy I've had. I just don't understand the pain only on my left since I have been like 28 weeks.

Oh yea I've had this pain only left side also I just went into the dr im.36 weeks the pain is only getting worse well he can feel the babies head sitting on my pubic bone that's the reason for all the pain and pressure, the pain only gets worse, I just lay on my side with a pillow between my legs

I'm also on my third pregnancy and around the same time I started experiencing the same thing. I remember it hurt just to walk, stand, sit, lay down or anything. I also went to the Dr because the pain was so severe and just kept getting worse. My Dr told me the same thing round ligament pain and the baby pressing down on a nerve. I've had round ligament pain before this was nothing like it and hurt so much more.  I even got hemorrhoids from the pressure. The only thing that gave me relief was bed rest, ice compresses or even cold compresses,  warm Epson salt baths and laying with a couple pillows between my legs. Good luck and I hope it helps for you too
