I had a low lying placenta detected at my 20 week scan. Had some bleeding and they told me to be on "pelvic rest." I had it rechecked at 28 weeks and it had migrated up. They said it is pretty common. I did not have it with my first pregnancy but did with my decibels so I guess it just happens sometimes

The cervix length is normal. How many weeks are you? I went in for a check at 27 weeks and my cervix was short at 2.5 cm. Dr ran some tests and they said I wasn't contacting, put me on modified rest. I'm 32w 4d and it's still same length. I'm also high risk though and get 17p shots. If you have questions or concerns I'd call your Dr. Even if it sounds silly, I'd want to be safe rather than sorry. And as mom's we already have enough to worry about! Oh normal length in the beginning is 4.5 cm and toward the end is 3.5cm. Good luck dear!

It doesn't sound like placenta previa but way too close to the cervix.. You night have some difficulties in delivering in that they may give you a c section to be safe. Also might have bleeding.

Hopefully there aren't any issues for you though. If the Dr wasn't concerned, its probably ok. They might monitor you a lil but more too or restrict activities if they feel it's a concern
